Terms
The rules of what we do, in plain language.
Who we are
Bruno Barros, trading as Ponto Quatro. Tax ID 236786580. Rua Silvestre Vaz, 5000-281 Vila Real, Portugal. bruno@pontoquatro.pt We don't have a shop open to the public, and the address above is the registered place of business, shown because e-commerce law requires it. It isn't a place to visit or collect from.
How a contract forms
A quote request isn't an order. It's a request for information. There's only a contract once we've given you a price and a timeline in writing and you've accepted them.
Quotes
The prices shown on the site are for fixed-price products. Everything else is quoted case by case, because every part is different. A quote is valid for 30 days.
Timelines
The timelines we give are honest estimates, counted in working days from the moment we have everything we need to start. If a timeline slips, we let you know as soon as we know.
Files and ownership
If you send us a file, it stays yours. We only use it to produce what you asked for. If we design the part for you, the file is yours once the job is paid. You can take it to another manufacturer if you want. We keep a copy of the files we design, so we can repeat the part if you need it again. If you'd rather we didn't keep it, say so.
What we don't do
We don't produce parts under critical structural load, parts in direct contact with engine temperatures, or safety components. In those cases we say no and explain why. We don't copy parts protected by third-party rights. If you ask us for a copy of another brand's product, we say no.
Warranty
Parts carry the applicable legal warranty. If a part comes out with a manufacturing defect, we remake it at no cost. It doesn't cover normal wear, use different from what was agreed, or parts that fail because the information you gave us didn't match reality.
Returns and personalised products
Distance purchases generally carry a 14-day right of withdrawal. That right doesn't apply to made-to-measure or personalised products, such as lamps with your photo or parts designed for you. That's what Decree-Law 24/2014 provides for. That's why we always send a preview before producing, so you can confirm while there's still time to change it.
Payment
Agreed case by case, before we start.
Law and disputes
Portuguese law applies. In the event of a consumer dispute, you can turn to an alternative dispute resolution body. The list is at consumidor.gov.pt.
